125ktpa nanoscale LFP project breaks ground in Xingyi, China

On September 17, Zhongpu Energy (Xingyi) Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for its 125,000tpa nanoscale lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode material project in Xingyi, China.
With a total investment of around RMB3.13 billion (USD428 billion), the project will build an industrial park covering 1,000Mu (66.67 hectares) and capable of producing 125,000t of nanoscale LFP annually. Construction of the project includes three phases and would take 36 months to complete. Phase one, with an investment of RMB800 million (USD110 million), has a designed production capacity of 25,000tpa of LFP used for power lithium-ion battery, and the second and third phases are each able to produce 50,000tpa of LFP. The project is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs.
