China's steel products output up by 11.4% YoY in Aug

China produced 74.62 million tonnes of pig iron, 86.41 million tonnes of crude steel and 116.52 million tonnes of steel products in August 2023, up by 4.8%, 3.2% and 11.4% respectively from August 2022, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first eight months of this year, the production of pig iron, crude steel and steel products totaled 603.59 million tonnes, 712.93 million tonnes and 909.20 million tonnes respectively, up by 3.7%, 2.6% and 6.3% from the prior year period.
