Waste LFP battery utilization project to break ground in Huaihua High-Tech Zone

On September 14, a waste LFP battery utilization project with total investment of RMB1 billion (USD137 million) from Hunan Tiantai Tianrun New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was signed to break ground at Huaihua High-Tech Zone in Hunan, China.
The project will be developed in two phases. The first phase, with investment of RMB300 million (USD41.18 million), consists of a 6,000tpa waste LFP battery repair line, a lithium carbonate production line using LFP as the raw material, and a waste LFP battery disassembly and device development project. When fully operational, the phase one is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of more than RMB600 million (USD82.37 million) and tax revenue of at least RMB30 million (USD4.12 million). The second phase of the project, with an estimated investment of RMB700 million (USD96.10 million) and a land area of 6.67 hectares, would be launched subject to market conditions and is expected to further expand production capacity.
