Hubei Liyuan's 50ktpa LFP project in full production

On August 28, Hubei Liyuan New Energy Technology announced that its 50,000tpa lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and 50,000tpa iron phosphate project has reached full production.
The project broke ground on May 18, 2022 in Xiangcheng Economic Development Zone. Phase one of the project has a production capacity of 50,000tpa and would achieve annual production value of more than RMB5 billion (USD686 million). The project is expected to fill the gap in battery cathode material industrial chain in Xiangyang and its surrounding region.
The company also launched its new LMFP cathode material product "Mengli 1" on the same day. The new product has an average discharge voltage of more than 3.7V and a 3C discharge capacity of no less than 140mAh/g, which will greatly improve the power density and energy density of battery.
