Hebei Hengwang Investment Group has inked an investment agreement with the management committee of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) to build a headquarters for its new energy business and a production base with annual capacity of 300,000t of lithium iron phosphate (LFP), with a total investment of RMB9 billion (USD1.23 billion).
Looking ahead, the company also plans to build its group headquarters and a battery cathode material production base in Tianjin, and the proposed project is expected to become the largest new energy industrial base in North China.
