Hubei Xingyou battery grade iron phosphate project to begin trial production

Hubei Xingyou New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. expects to start trial production at its 300,000tpa battery grade iron phosphate project in late August as the first phase of the project is near completion.
Phase one of the project, with investment of RMB900 million (USD123 million), will add iron phosphate capacity of 100,000tpa and is expected to generate annual sales of RMB1.3 billion (USD178 million) when operating at full capacity.
Hubei Xingyou is a majority-owned subsidiary of Xingfa Chemicals Group and is the first cathode precursor project developed by the group to expand its presence in the new energy field. The project would help to further expand the lithium battery cathode materials industry chain in Yidu, China for the establishment of a hundred billion yuan-level new energy materials industrial cluster.
