Shagang Yongxing Special Steel capacity integration project breaks ground

On August 15, Shagang Group Anyang Yongxing Special Steel Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for its capacity integration project.
With a total investment of RMB6 billion (USD823 million), the project will build new two 1410m3 blast furnaces, one 360m2 sintering machine, two gas generator sets of 50MW and other associated facilities.
When in operation, the project is able to produce 2.53 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of iron, 2.6Mtpa of steel and 2.5Mpta of rolled products, with the average annual sales to reach RMB15 billion (USD2.06 billion). The project is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs.
