Easpring Technology to build cathode material project in Europe

Easpring Technology announced plan to invest EUR774 million to build the phase one of its European advanced material production base project with annual capacity of 60,000t of lithium battery cathode materials in Finland.
On July 28, Easpring Technology reached agreements with Finnish Minerals Group (FMG) and its wholly-owed subsidiary Finnish Battery Chemicals Oy (FBC) to set up Easpring Technology (HongKong) Investment Company and Luxembourg SPV. Luxembourg SPV and FBC will set up a 70/30 joint venture (Easpring Finland NewMaterials Oy) with registered capital of EUR 8 million to build and operate the phase one of the European base.
The phase one will be built in Kotka, Finland with planned production capacity of 60,000t of cathode materials, including NCM811/NCA, NCM523 and NCM622. Construction period of the project is 34 months.
