Gansu sees 31.4% of power generation from new energy in Jan-Apr

Gansu Energy Regulatory Office reported that by the end of April 2023 Gansu's installed power capacity reached 70.71GW, with installed new energy capacity accounting for 53.8%. In the January-April period, the province's power generation totaled 65,700GWh, of which 31.4% or 20,600GWh came from new energy.
In 2023, Gansu's medium and long-term contracted electricity capacity is 76,800GWh which could meet 90% of the total power demand, hitting a new record high.
