Henan Iron and Steel Group strives to build production capacity of over 20 million tons by 2025

Recently, the General Office of the Henan Provincial Government issued the Implementation Plan for Accelerating the High Quality Development of the Steel Industry in Henan Province (2023-2025). The plan mentioned that Henan Iron and Steel Group aims to have assets of over 100 billion yuan (14.36 million US dollars) and a production capacity of over 20 million tons by 2025.
In detail, Anyang base will build an annual production capacity of 8.5 million tons of high-quality plates, 1.5 million tons of high-quality seamless pipes, and 800,000t of ductile cast pipes, forming a production base of high-quality plates and seamless steel pipes with an annual production capacity of 10 million tons. Zhoukou base plans to start construction in June this year on a two-stand 5600mm+5500mm wide and thick plate production line, 2300mm hot continuous rolling and 2150mm cold continuous rolling production lines, and it will focus on production of new energy steel, marine engineering steel, and automotive steel, forming an annual production capacity of 5 million tons in the short term and 10 million tons in the long term. Xuchang base aims to build a stainless steel production base with an annual production capacity of 2 million tons, forming a new advantage in the full process manufacturing of the stainless steel industry.
