CISA: Major steel mills' average daily steel product output records 2.09Mt in early May

According to the data released by China Iron & Steel Association (CISA), major Chinese steel mills produced about 20.87 million tons of steel products in the first third of May, and the average daily output was about 2.09 million tons, down by 7.89% from the last third of April.
In the first third of May 2023, the steel product inventory held by major steel mills totaled about 17.61 million tons, down by 499,000t or 2.76% from the last third of April.
