On March 28, the environmental impact assessment document for the 300,000tpy lithium battery recycling and comprehensive utilization project (the first phase of annual treatment of 110,000t of lithium iron phosphate battery) of Ganzhou Jirui New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was proposed to be approved for publicity.
The project is located at Xijin Avenue, Ganzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and is designed to treat 300,000t of waste lithium batteries annually (including 190,000t of ternary waste lithium batteries and 110,000t of waste lithium iron phosphate batteries). It will be constructed in two phases. The first phase will treat 110,000t of waste lithium iron phosphate batteries annually, with the main products of 16,805.98 tons of lithium carbonate and 70,000t of iron phosphate, and a by-product of 33,129.42 tons of anhydrous sodium sulfate. In the second phase, a comprehensive utilization production line with an annual output of 190,000t of waste ternary lithium batteries and a lithium battery disassembly and crushing production line will be built.
