China's power battery production down by 5% YoY in Jan

On February 10, China Automobile Power Battery Industrial Innovation Alliance publicized China's power battery statistics in January 2023. Statistics show that in January China's power battery production was 28.2GWh, down by 5% year to year and down by 46.3% month to month. In particular, LNCMO battery production was 9.8GWh, down by 9.3% YoY and down by 46.9% MoM, and accounting for 34.8% of the total production; and LFP battery production was 18.3GWh, down by 2.5% YoY and down by 46.0% MoM, and accounting for 65.0% of the total production.

In particular, LNCMO battery installment was 5.4GWh, down by 25.6% YoY and down by 52.4% MoM, and accounting for 33.7% of the total installment; and LFP battery installment was 10.7GWh, up by 20.4% YoY and down by 56.7% MoM, and accounting for 66.2% of the total installment.
In January 2023, China's power battery exports totaled 7.9GWh, including LNCMO and LFP battery exports of 5.4GWh and 2.6GWh respectively.
