CATL to invest no more than RMB23.8 billion in building integrated new material industry project

CATL announced on January 29th that it will invest no more than RMB23.8 billion (USD3.52 billion) in building an integrated new material industry project in Datang New Material Industry Zone in Fobei Zhanxin Industry Park located in Foshan, Guangdong through its holding subsidiary, Guangdong Brunp, so as to boost the development of its lithium battery material and recycling business and ensure sufficient supply of lithium battery raw materials. The project will build an intensive and large scale production base that could recycle 500,000t of wasted battery materials per year and produce LFP cathode materials, ternary cathode materials, recycled graphite anode and others.
