Sunwoda Yiwu New Energy Power Battery Production Base Project broke ground formally on December 4th. As a project with the largest investment scale in the manufacturing history of Yiwu, the project will build a 50GWhpy new energy power battery production base with a total investment of RMB21.3 billion (USD3.05 billion) and cover an area of over 866,667 square meters. The project is also designed to build power battery and energy-storage battery production lines of 50GWh to produce cells, modules, PACKs and battery management systems related to power batteries and energy-storage batteries. It is planned to have a building period of 500 days and complete the phase one engineering on May 1st, 2023 with the first production line ready to go into operation at the end of September 2023.
