China's power battery production up by 155.2% YoY in Sep

China's power battery output reached 59.1GWh in September, up by 155.2% YoY and 18.1% MoM, according to data released by China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance.
In September, China produced 24.3GWh of LNCMO battery, accounting for 41.1% of the total output and representing an increase of 152.1% YoY and 26.1% MoM, and the production of LFP battery reached 34.8GWh, accounting for 58.8% of the total, up by 157.4% YoY and 26.1% MoM. In the first nine months of this year, China's power battery production increased by 176.2% from a year ago to 372.1GWh, including 150.2GWh of LNCMO battery (up 139.0%) and 221.3GWh of LFP battery (up 209.0%), which accounted for 40.4% and 59.5% of the accumulated production respectively.
In September, China sold 46.5GWh of power battery, up by 161.6% YoY. The sales volume of LNCMO battery and LFP battery increased by 207.1% and 127.2% YoY respectively to 23.4GWh and 23.0GWh and accounted for 50.4% and 49.4% respectively of the total shipments. From January to September, China's power battery shipments totaled 367.0GWh, up by 243.8% from a year-ago period. This included 163.8GWh of LNCMO battery (up 232.4%) and 203.0GWh of LFP battery (up 257.8%), accounting for 44.6% and 55.3%, respectively, of the total shipments during the period.
