EVE Energy announces JV to develop 90,000tpy lithium carbonate project

EVE Energy on July 21 announced an investment agreement with Zijin Lithium and Ruifu Lithium to build their joint venture in Hunan, China. The proposed joint venture will build a 90,000tpy lithium salt project with total investment estimated at RMB3 billion (USD443 million). About RMB900 million (USD133 million) will be invest in the phase one of the project with a production capacity of 30,000tpy of lithium carbonate. This includes registered capital of RMB300 million (USD44.31 million). EVE Energy will invest RMB78 million (USD11.52 million) to hold a 26% stake in the joint venture.
