CAAM: China's NEV production and sales both exceed 2.6 million units in H1 2022

On July 11, According to the latest data released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the production of China's new energy vehicles (NEVs) totaled 2.66 million units from January to June 2022, and the sales of NEVs totaled 2.6 million units in this period, both up by 1.2 times YoY, and the market penetration rate reached 21.6%.
In June, the production and sales of NEVs posted about 590,000 units and 596,000 units respectively, both up by 1.3 times YoY, and the market penetration rate reached 23.8%.
In terms of exports, China exported 202,000 NEVs in the first half of this year, up by 1.3 times YoY, accounting for 16.6% of the total automobile exports.
