Tianjin to establish first-class power battery industry cluster in China

On May 10th, Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Bureau issued a Three-Year Action Plan for Building a Leading Manufacturing City in Tianjin (2021-2023). According to the document, Tianjin will boost the building of Lishen Battery's production expansion project of 10,000,000,000wh, Huanou Semi-Conductor's high-efficiency solar battery slice project and Aikosolar's battery base phase two project so as to establish the first-class power battery industry cluster in China. Tianjin will also promote Yingli's high-efficiency component intelligent manufacturing line project and other projects, strengthen the R&D and production capabilities of wind turbines, photovoltaic power generation systems and key components and make breakthrough in advanced technologies in new-type high-efficiency photovoltaic battery area, high-efficiency shingled component area and other areas.
