BEIJING (Asian Metal) 4 Feb 2021 - In Dec, China's rare earth separation plants consumed 26,585.00mt of rare earth ore, 23,290.00mt in the same period last year and 24,635.00mt in the previous month, up 14.15% YoY and up 7.92% MoM respectively.
In Jan-Dec, China's rare earth separation plants consumed a total of 284,090.00mt of rare earth ore, 243,360.00mt in the same period last year, up 16.74% YoY.
In Dec, the top three provinces by consumption of rare earth ore by rare earth separation plants in China were Inner Mongolia, Sichuan and Jiangxi. Inner Mongolia consumed 11,650.00mt of rare earth ore, up 14.78% MoM and up 2.46% YoY. Sichuan consumed 5,400.00mt of rare earth ore, up 21.08% YoY and up 8.00% MoM. Jiangxi consumed 1,300.00mt of rare earth ore, up 21.08% YoY.
