First Batch compulsory national standards in electric vehicle field released

On May 13th, the MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) announced that the three compulsory national standards, including GB 18384-2020 Safety Requirements for Power Batteries of Electric Vehicles, GB 30381-2020 Safety Requirements for Electric Vehicles and GB 38032-2020 Safety Requirements for Electric Buses, formulated by have been approved and issued by the State Administration of Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of the P.R.C and will be implemented from January 1st, 2021.
The three standards are the first batch of compulsory national standards in electric vehicle field in China. Fully coordinating with international standards and regulations, they will further improve and optimize the safety technical requirements for electric vehicles and power battery products.
