Kia plans to launch a new type of pure electric vehicles with high performance, 500km range and fast charging capability in 2021 to demonstrate its advanced technology in electrification and change people's perception of Korean vehicle brands.
The new type vehicles of Kia will have a target range of 500 kilometers (310 miles) and will be equipped with a battery system with a maximum voltage of 800V. They can charge from 20% to 80% in about 20 minutes (on 350kW fast-charge charging piles).
