MIIT and other six ministries lay out pilot work of power battery recycling

It is reported that the MIIT and other six Ministries issued a notice on July 25, demanding that the pilot work on the recycling and utilization of new energy vehicle power batteries should be carried out smoothly.
According to the notice, the industry base, such as existing abandoned vehicles, electronic appliances dismantling and non-ferrous metallurgical industry should be made full use of combining the conditions of region's inventory of new energy vehicle and retired power battery to lay out the power battery recycling enterprise, moderately control the enterprise numbers of dismantling and stagger utilization, and strictly control the number of recycling enterprises (especially hydrometallurgical enterprises).
The notice also stressed the supporting policies supporting the recycling and utilization of power batteries should be formulated to strengthen the combination of relevant industry policies and make full use of existing preferential tax policies.
