    Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT) released the announcement about China's first batch of rare earth ore and tungsten ore mining quotas for 2018 on April 11, 2018, and details are as follows:

    The competent departments of natural resources and industry and information technology in Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang and other provinces (regions):

    In order to protect and rationally exploit superior minerals, MNR and MIIT continue to control the total production quotas for rare earth ore and tungsten ore in accordance with related regulations on the protective exploitation of specific minerals in 2018. In order to serve enterprises' production and according to the actual needs, the mining quotas for the two materials will be issued in two batches. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

    1. In 2018, the mining quotas of the first batch of rare earth oxide (REO) and tungsten concentrate (65% WO3) are 70% of those in 2017.Asian Metal Copyright The annual mining quotas will be released timely based on national policies and changes in the market in the second quarter.Asian Metal Copyright In 2018, the first batch of rare earth oxide (REO) mining quota totals 73,500t, including12,530t of ionic rare earth ore (middle and heavy rare earths) and 60,970t of rock-type rare earth ore (light rare earths); the first batch of tungsten concentrate (65% WO3) mining quota is 63,900t, including 51,350t of main mining quota and 12,550t of comprehensive utilization quota.

    The annual mining quotas will be released timely based on national policies and changes in the market in the second quarter.
