Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone to launch many key projects about rare earth in 2018

It is reported that in 2018 Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone is going to launch 113 key projects (the investment of each project is over RMB100 million) whose planned total investment is RMB76.73 billion with RMB28.65 billion to be completed this year.
Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone will strive to make it the China Magnet Valley, accelerate the construction of a cluster of hundreds of billions of rare earth magnetic materials, and promote the operation of 27 magnet materials' project including Xunsheng Strong Magnet, the second phase of Jinshan Magnetic Material and Zhongxin Antai to produce over 35,000tpy of magnetic materials. In addition, it will promote the integrated application of lanthanum cerium, expand the industry chain of rare earth hydrogen storage material, accelerate the development of rare earth polishing powder industry, strive to produce 15,000tpy of rare earth polishing powder, expand the rare earth catalytic materials industry, and promote the construction of Seagate environmental protection project.
By taking advantages of development, it will give full play to the role of the "Baotou Rare Earth Industry Transformation and Upgrading Fund" and increase the rare earth products varieties in the Baotou Rare Earth Products Exchange to make the annual turnover exceed RMB200 billion. What's more, Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone will vigorously promote the transformation of ten scientific achievements, such as rare earth colorant and servo motor, to realize effective connection between the industrial chain and innovation chain.
