AM statistics: China's PrNd oxide producers' average operation rate in February 2018 down by 8.2% MOM

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Mar 18 - According to Asian Metal's statistics, 43 Chinese PrNd oxide producers, whose annual capacity of PrNd oxide is 43,370t, produced 1,581t of the material in February 2018. The figure decreased by 15.7% from 1,876t in January 2018 and down by 22.7% compared with 2,045t in February 2017.
These separation plants' average operating rate in February 2018 was 43.7%, down by about 8.2% from 51.9% in January 2018. The figure was 13.4% lower than 57.1% in February 2017.
Owing to the tight supply of ionic rare earth concentrate and Spring Festival holiday this February, most separation plants held insufficient stocks and halted production before the holiday. As a consequence, the PrNd oxide producers' average operation rate decreased MOM.
