Jiangxi Province to promote innovation and upgrading of rare earth materials industry

On March 1, Jiangxi Rare Earth Functional Materials Manufacturing Innovation Center passed provincial accreditation and was appraised as provincial innovation center, marking a new step for Jiangxi Province to create a rare earth functional material industry highland, which will speed up the development of science & technology innovation and transformation and upgrading of rare earth new materials industry, boosting "China Rare-earth Gold Valley" construction.
The responsible person of Commission of Industry and Information Technology of Jiangxi Province said that the establishment of Jiangxi Rare Earth Functional Materials Manufacturing Innovation Center is an important measure for the provincial party committee and government to thoroughly implement "Made in China 2025" to build a strong industrial province and speed up manufacturing agglomeration; an inherent demand of accelerating the innovative, integrated and green development of Jiangxi's rare earth industry; an effective path to break through key common technology of rare earth functional materials industry, promote the combination of industry, academia and research, build an industrial ecology. Next, Jiangxi Rare Earth Functional Materials Manufacturing Innovation Center will apply to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for identification as a national manufacturing innovation center through the "company + alliance" innovation mechanism to create an innovative demonstration base for rare earth functional materials manufacturing industry, a field of high talent of rare metals new materials, and industry-specific big data center to further promote the healthy and rapid development of rare earth industry.
