BCL establishes Jiangxi Baojiang Lithium Limited Company with Jiangte Mining

Burwill Holdings (00024) announced on 10 July 2017 that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Burwill Company Limited (BCL) signed a joint venture contract with Jiangxi Jiangte Mining to jointly establish a joint venture company in Jiangxi Yichun; BCL and Jiangte Mining respectively hold 50% of shares of the new company. The corporate structure of the joint venture company is the limited liability company, with the registered capital of RMB80 million which will be invested by BCL and Jiangte Mining according to the shareholding ratio.
The new company mainly engages in processing of lithium concentrate and sales of lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide, and lithium concentrate and lithium hydroxide are base materials of lithium battery. It plans to build a production line with the annual output of 10,000t of lithium carbonate and 5,000t of lithium hydroxide, and expects to conduct trial production in March 2018.
Jiangte Mining is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangte Motor, a listed company in Shenzhen. Jiangte Motor is a special type motor manufacturing company with a well-known brand and vigorously develops the lithium battery new energy industry in recent years as the national high-tech enterprise. Jiangte Motor’s industrial chain of lithium battery includes the mining and processing of lepidolite, manufacturing of lithium battery anode material and electric vehicles. It currently has a production line with an annual capacity of 5,000t of lithium carbonate.
