Jiangxi runs top on resolving overcapacity of steel nation widely

Recently, General Office of the State Council issued "Incentive Notification to Places Diligently Practicing Major Policies In 2016" (SCS No. [2017]34), and Xiangxi was included in the four provinces (Zhejiang Province, Fujian Province, Jiangxi Province, Guangdong province) who over fulfilled the work of resolving overcapacity of steel with good performance, and was commended and stimulated.
In 2016, Jiangxi province cut by production capacity of 4.33 million tons of crude steel, 500,000t of pig iron, completing all tasks which shall be cut during the period of 2016-2020. All the capacity belonged to the one in operation, and the province removed all equipment accordingly. The national inspection and acceptance teams went to Jiangxi twice to inspect the work of resolving the overcapacity in iron and steel industry, and fully affirmed the work of Jiangxi province, believing that with perfect mechanism, the leadership in Jiangxi paid great attention to the work and took various measures to realize tasks of cutting capacity.
