In order to promote the commercialization of research findings and boost the development and upgrading of rare earth and tungsten industries, Ganzhou ? China Xijingu Technology Conference was held on May 6 in Ganzhou by The People’s Government of Ganzhou, Jiangxi Privincial Department of Science and Technology, Nanjing Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. Colleges and Universities related to Chinese Academy of Sciences have signed agreements for the commercialization of research findings and science and technology service with related enterprises in Ganzhou. Yan Huachun, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended this conference.
Ganzhou is famous for rare earth and tungsten. Ganzhou is also rich with rare metals, such as tin, molybdenum, lead and zinc. Ganzhou mainly pays attention on the construction of China Xijingu and enhances the development for industries of rare earth and tungsten new material application. The core area of China Xijingu has covered an area of 1,187,000 ㎡ with 3,400,000㎡of flat ground and introduced 23 projects about rare earth and tungsten new material application with a total investment of RMB8.27 billion.
