Guangdong issues total control indicators (first batch) for rare earth and tungsten ore mining in 2017

All prefecture-level cities and Shunde District Land and Resources Bureau:
According to related notice from Ministry of Land and Resources of China, details on 2017 total control indicators for rare earth and tungsten ore mining are as follows:
1. Ministry of Land and Resources of China issued 2017 total control indicators (first batch) of 1,780t for tungsten ore (with tungsten trioxide content for 65%) mining for Guangdong province with mining indicator of 1,750t and 30t for comprehensive utilization; control indicators (first batch) for rare earth oxides (REO) are 1,100t . The above indicators are about to be allocated to all prefecture-level cities (seen in the attachment).
2. All related city-level Land and Resources Bureaus should timely issue the above indicators to all city-level and county-level mining enterprises and report the result to the provincial Bureau on April 10 . County- level Land and Resources Bureaus should sign a letter of responsibility with mining enterprises to clarify the rights, obligations and default liabilities.
3. To strengthen statistical reports and supervision as well as inspection . Mining-right owners should strictly carry out the monthly rare earth report and quarterly tungsten ore reports and conduct timely, accurate and standardized on-line reports . All city-level Land and Resources Bureaus should take measures to promote the implementation of mining indicators of rare earth and tungsten ore and inspect and supervise the comprehensive utilization of tungsten ore.
4. All problems encountered in implementation of indicators should be timely reported to the provincial Bureau.
