North Korea lifts ban on rare earth exports to China

According to related sources on March 3, North Korea has stopped exported rare earth metals to China on retaliation of China’s recently-announced coal ban on North Korean coal imports
A source from North Hamgyong Province of North Korea claimed that “At around February 20, the central government of North Korea ordered a ban on all exports of rare earth metals to China.”
The source also revealed that “Iron ore from Maoshan and magnesia from Tanchon can be still exported to China, but molybdenum from Maoshan and rare metals such as cobalt from Huining are full banned to be exported to China.”
A source from Ryanggang said that Ryanggang has also fully suspended exports of rare metals to China.
. In order to execute the resolution of No . 2321 by Security Council of the United Nations to publish North Korea for its fifth nuclear test last September, China took this punitive measure and announced that the measure will last till late this year.
