On late 4 January, Keda Clean Energy Co
Qinghai Fozhao mainly contributed by cash and patents; Qinghai Weili mainly contributed by patents; and their capitals contributed to Qinghai Saltlake Fozhao Lake Lithium Co., Ltd . (Lake Lithium) accounts for 16 . 91% and 10 . 78% respectively . Through this equity transfer, Keda Clean Energy will indirectly hold 27 . 69% of shareholdings of Lake Lithium.
Lake Lithium mainly sells lithium carbonate extracted from Qarham salt lake brine. Owning the unique technique and process for lithium and magnesium separation, outstanding resource advantage and profitable outlook, the company is a leader among companies extracting lithium from brine.
Lake Lithium, with an annual capacity of 10,000t of lithium carbonate, plans to increase the output by 30,000t in 2017; and the company’s lithium carbonate capacity will become the largest in the whole world after reaching the designed capacity.
Keda Clean Energy noted that as Lake Lithium mainly operates lithium carbonate products, which conforms to their strategy of increasing lithium-ion material investment; therefore this transfer will gain more profit for their lithium-ion business .
