Northern Rare Earth leads to develop the first rare earth international standards

Recently, the "rare earth terminology of minerals and compounds" proposed by the Northern Rare Earth has entered the International Standards Committee's new project setting up process, meaning that the Northern Rare Earth will lead the development of the first rare earth international standards.
Up to now, the Northern Rare Earth has led and participated in the development of 146 national and industry standards. Among them, 34 are product standards, 99 are method standards and 13 are standard samples, accounting for more than a half of the total numbers of the existing national and industry standards. The development of these standards has improved the rare earth standard system, promoted the development of the norms in the rare earth industry, and meanwhile also enhanced the influence and core competitiveness of Northern Rare Earth in the industry, laying the foundation for its participation in rare earth international standards.
Xu Tao, the chief engineer of Northern Rare Earth, stated that Northern Rare Earth has actively undertaken and participated in the development of rate earth international standards since the Rare Earth Technical Committee of International Organization for Standardization was established, aiming to upgrade more Chinese standards into international standards.
