Restructuring work of China Northern Rare Earth Group approved

Commissioned by the people’s government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the acceptance check conference on restructuring work of China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "China Northern Rare Earth") commenced in Baotou city on December 30, 2015. Related officials and experts were present at the conference from the Industrial Bureau of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (Rare Earth Office), the Mineral Bureau of Ministry of Land and Resources, Office of Land and Resources in Inner Mongolia, Baotou Iron and Steel (Group) Co. Ltd., etc.
Previously, Baotou Iron and Steel (Group) Co. Ltd. compiled the Plan for Restructuring of China?Northern?Rare?Earth (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), which was approved by the people’s government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in June, 2014 and put on record by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in July, 2014. In accordance with the requirements from MIIT and the local government, China Northern Rare Earth earnestly implemented the Plan, integrated the rare earth resources in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, completed the restructuring and integration of eight local rare earth smelting separation enterprises and Gansu Rare Earth New Material Limited-Liability Company, eliminated the outdated capacity, regulated industrial orders and other goals. The company also carried out the special program to crack down rare earth-related behaviors violating laws and rules through cooperation with different departments of the government and initiatively safeguarded the industrial orders. The restructuring work of China Northern Rare Earth Group was unanimously approved by the conference.
