Indonesia Delong phase II stainless steel integrated smelting project officially put into operation

On April 29, the key project of the "Belt and Road"- Indonesia Delong Industrial Park Phase II Stainless Steel Integrated Smelting Project (PT. Obsidian Stainless Steel, referred to as "OSS Company") jointly built by China and Indonesia, was officially put into production.
Indonesia Delong Industrial Park, located in Kendari, Sulawesi province, Southeast Indonesia, is the first overseas ferronickel and stainless steel industrial park of Jiangsu Delong Nickel Industry and CFHI. The planned area of the park is 2,200 hectares. In the first phase, the ferronickel smelting project with an annual production capacity of 600,000t (VDNI company) will be constructed. There are three major projects, namely, smelting plant, power plant and wharf, with a total investment of USD1 billion. The construction started in 2015 and the first production line was put into operation in 2017.
In 2017, Jiangsu Delong and Xiamen Xiangyu Group invested USD2 billion to build an integrated smelting project with an annual output of 3 million tons of ferronickel stainless steel, and started the second phase construction of Delong Industrial Park.
OSS company is a large-scale steel enterprise integrating ferroalloy production and stainless steel smelting, which is jointly established by Jiangsu Delong Nickel Co., Ltd. and Xiamen Xiangyu Group. The initial investment of the project is more than 14 billion yuan (USD1.98 billion) and the designed capacity is 2.5 million tons. The company adopts the international advanced RKEF production process and has 30 ferronickel smelting production lines.
