Chinalco Materials Application Research Institute assists Luoyang Aluminum Processing to develop high-end mirror aluminum

Recently, Chinalco Materials Application Research Institute Co., Ltd. assisted Luoyang Aluminum Processing Co., Ltd. to make breakthrough in the development of high-end mirror aluminum production.
It is reported that 8XXX mirror aluminum which is used for car interior decoration is of high added value and in short supply. It is the key high-efficiency product of Luoyang Aluminum Processing in 2019. Due to high quality requirement, the material for car interior decoration is mainly produced with imported aluminum. But Luoyang Aluminum Processing tried to develop a replacement and asked Chinalco Materials Application Research Institute for help as its material surface quality failed to meet customers' demand. Through cooperation, the 8XXX mirror aluminum with high performance was successfully produced and replaced imported material by a small volume.
The "Joint Innovation Center" of the two sides was established on March 22, 2019. It is committed to integrating resources of both sides and jointly developing new aluminum alloy materials and technologies. The successful development of high-end mirror aluminum is another achievement of the center.
