Zijin Mining's net profit up by 180% in H1 2017

Zijin Mining published its Semi-annual Result of 2017 on late 18. In H1 2017, the company realized sales revenue of RMB37.524 billion, down by 3.51% YOY; net profit attributable to shareholders of parent company of RMB1.505 billion, up by 179.63% YOY.
Gold
Zijin Mining produced 86,083kg of gold in H1 2017, down by 21.84% YOY. In specific, mines produced 18,856kg of gold, down by 7.77% YOY, and the group produced 67,227kg of gold by smelting and trading, down by 25.05% YOY.
In the first half of 2017, the gold sales of Zijin Mining accounted for 45.38% of the total gold operation revenue during the period, and the gross profit margin of the product accounted for 26.61% of total gross profit.
Silver
Zijin Mining produced 336,883kg of silver in H1 2017, up by 19.33% YOY. In specific, mines produced 122,710kg of silver, up by 10.89% YOY, and the group produced 214172kg of silver by smelting, up by 24.78% YOY. Sales of silver accounted for 5.10% of operation revenue while gross profit of silver made up 2.93% of the total gross profit.
Copper
Zijin Mining produced 310,589t of copper in H1 2017, up by 13.48% YOY. In specific, mines produced 91,535t of copper, up by 22.45% YOY. The group produced 219,054t of copper by smelting, up by 10.11% YOY, and specifically, Zijin Copper and Jilin Zijin Copper smelted 153,536t and 63,933t of copper respectively.
In the first half of 2017, the copper sales of Zijin Mining accounted for 26.06% of the operation revenue during the period, and the gross profit margin of the product accounted for 32.46% of total gross profit.
Lead and zinc
Zijin Mining produced 244,828t of zinc in H1 2017, up by 8.64% YOY. In specific, the group produced 141,906t of zinc, up by 15.42% YOY, and produced 19,329t of lead during the period, up by 6.38% YOY. Sales of lead and zinc accounted for 9.39% of operation revenue while gross profit of lead and zinc made up 24.27% of the total gross profit.
Iron concentrate
Zijin Mining produced 1.2901 million tons of iron concentrate in H1 2017, and did not produce in the same period of last year. Sales of iron accounted for 1.32% of operation revenue while gross profit of iron made up 5.20% of the total gross profit.
