BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Nov 13 - Sources reported that the antimony trioxide market generally kept quiet with the closing price of antimony trioxide 99.5%min in the range of RMB52,000-53,000/t (USD8,525-8,689/t) ex works in Hunan, and there were a few small deals in spot market due to weak demand and price decrease of antimony ingot.
A Hunan-based antimony trioxide producer with an output of about 300tpm noted that he concluded several small deals of 3t, 5t or 10t at about RMB52,500/t (USD8,607/t) ex works for antimony trioxide 99.5%min in the past days, and maintains the offer of RMB53,000/t (USD8,689/t) this week. “Buyers prolonged purchase due to price decrease in the past two weeks and the spot market was inactive,” said the source.
The source thinks the antimony trioxide market to decrease further before the fiscal year end, because producers have capital turnover pressure and sales pressure.
