China's daily crude steel output records a yearly low in July

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Aug 11 - Based on the latest news of National Bureau of Statistics of China, the crude steel output was 59.3 million tons in July, increasing by 15.5 percent over that of last year. Meanwhile, the daily output hit the lowest point in 2011 at 1.9129 million tons. In addition, the national crude steel output totaled 41.0364 million tons in January-July, witnessing a year-on-year rise of 10.3 percent.
Besides, the pig iron output was 55.062 million tons in July, increasing by 17.3 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the total pig iron output was 379.327 million tons in the first seven months, rising by 9.6 percent over that of the corresponding period of last year.
In the meantime, the finished steel output was 75.717 million tons in July, rising by 14.9 percent year on year. In January-July, the output totaled 514.009 million tons, rising by 13.0 percent compared with that of last year.
