Apple adds the third gallium arsenide supplier for iPone5 mass production

As reported by DigTime in Taiwan, Apple has added the third supplier of gallium arsenide to produce adequate amount of iPhone5 by the end of the year. The three suppliers are Avago, Triquint and Skyworks and the value of gallium arsenide used in each iPhone has reached approximately 6 dollars.
The gallium arsenide supply partners of Apple are TriQuint and Skyworks, which offer gallium arsenide for Apple’s current facilities. However, Apple will add Avago as another supplier before the publication of iPhone5 to avoid the short supply because of the strong demand.
It is said that the next generation of iPhone will be published in Q3, which means that it may be published any time from now to September. As Apple is prepared to sell iPhone5, there is much information about its components supplier. In the early time of this month, Apple added Pegatron as its cooperation partner.
