New antimony mine with 155,100t reserves discovered in Inner Mongolia

A new associated mine of Ag-Pb-Zn is discovered in Xiwuqi, Inner Mongolia, which belonges to Yulong Mining and Developing Company. The reserve of antimony reaches to 155,100t with the average grade at 0.69%, which satisfies the index of multipurpose use. It is planned to verify that the associated composition can be retrieved in a high level, to reach the goal of comprehensive recycling.
Accordingly, the known reserve of antimony is more than 4 million tons on earth, and China’s accounts for more than 50%. There are 111 antimony mines discovered in China, including Wanshan, Wuchuan, Danzhai, Tongren and Banpo in Guizhou, Xinhuang mercury mine, Hsikwngshan antimony mine in Lengshuijiang area (the largest antimony mine in the world) and Banxi in Hunan, Dachang Mine located in Nandan of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Yawan antimony mine in Gansu and Xunyang Hg-Sb mine in Shaanxi.
