CISA:Daily crude steel output continues decreasing in mid-October

Figures from CISA displayed a total crude steel production of 13.41 million tons from large and middle sized steel enterprises during the middle ten-day this month, with a daily output of 1 . 341 million tons, decreasing by 2 . 4% compared with that of previous ten days.
Analyst expressed that it was favorable to release the inventory pressure driven by the reduction of delivery amount from steel mills, as the on-stream availability had continued moving down since this month. Thereby, the crude steel decrease provided certain supports to the spot market without any suspense.
The production reduction was attributed to continuous effects of energy saving and emission reduction. Besides the policy on limiting electricity, some steel mills arranged to start yearly maintenance in the fourth Quarter.
From this August on, lots of regions in China were required to limit electricity such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shangxi, Guangxi Province and so on, especially Hebei Province. For example, 30 steel enterprises in Tangshan City, Hebei Province who were forced to decrease the output during this September to December.
Previous data from CISA showed that the daily crude steel output in first tens this month was 1.627 million tons against the level of 1 . 618 million tons of the same period last month . China State Statistics Bureau showed that national crude steel production was 47 . 95 million tons in September, down by 5 . 9% month-on-month.
