Capacity replacement plan issued for Shoutang Baosheng's EAF overhaul project

On October 28, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hebei Province released a public notice on the capacity replacement plan for the 50-tonne alloy steel electric arc furnace (EAF) overhaul project of Tangshan Shoutang Baosheng Functional Materials Co., Ltd. The public notice period runs from October 28 to November 17, 2026.
According to the construction plan, the company will overhaul one 50-tonne alloy steel EAF at its plant located in Guye District, Tangshan City. The upgraded facility will have a production capacity of 300,000tpy. Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with commissioning planned for January 2027.
For the capacity withdrawal, the company will simultaneously retire one existing 50-tonne alloy steel EAF at the same location, withdrawing an equivalent capacity of 300,000tpy. The equipment is scheduled to be dismantled before the new project is completed and put into operation.
