On October 30, Phase I of a comprehensive utilization project by Chongqing Huanli Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. officially went into operation in the Shuangqiao Economic Development Zone.
The project is designed to dismantle 100,000 end-of-life vehicles and process 150,000 tonnes of retired lithium batteries and lithium-nickel-cobalt intermediates annually, making it the largest new energy vehicle (NEV) dismantling and lithium battery recycling base in Southwest China.
Covering a total area of 450 mu (30 hectares), the project is positioned as a full-industry-chain lithium battery recycling base. Upon reaching full capacity, it is projected to generate an annual output value of RMB3-5 billion (USD450.90-751.50 million).
