On October 25, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in the Lekki Free Trade Zone in Lagos State, Nigeria for Dexin Steel Pipe Group (Lekki) FZE.
The project was officially signed and landed on May 28, 2026, and has now officially broken ground, entering the Phase I construction stage.
Phase I of the project involves a total investment of USD50 million. It will build production lines with an annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes of large-diameter spiral welded pipe, 100,000 tonnes of hot-expanded seamless pipe, and 200,000 tonnes of JCOE high-end oil and gas pipe, alongside a 3-million-square-meter internal and external anti-corrosion production facility. The company aims to complete construction and put the facility into operation within one year.
