On October 21, Chongqing Qichuang Renewable Resources Utilization Co., Ltd., located in the Qijiang High-tech Zone, trial-produced a large-size, high-end recycled aluminum alloy slab.
The single slab weighs 34.927 tonnes and measures 9,600mm in length, 2,110mm in width, and 630mm in height. With recycled aluminum accounting for over 70% of the raw materials, the achievement sets a new production record for large-size recycled aluminum cast ingots in Southwest China.
The product can be widely used in high-end fields such as automotive heat exchange systems, high-end aluminum foil, and precision sheet and strip processing.
Currently, Qichuang has three aluminum ingot and billet production lines in operation and has simultaneously launched the construction of its Phase II project, which is expected to reach full capacity by the end of 2027. By then, its annual capacity will reach 500,000 tonnes, with an annual output value hitting RMB12 billion (USD1.8 billion).
