Moon River Moly Ltd. recently announced the completion of an updated preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for its Davidson Molybdenum-Copper-Tungsten Critical Minerals Project, located near Smithers, British Columbia.
The updated PEA shows a 350% increase in annual tungsten production compared with the previous PEA. The adoption of flotation rather than gravity as the recovery method significantly improves overall tungsten recoveries and concentrate grades.
The project features a 20-year mine life based on 10,000 tonnes of mill throughput per day, or 3.65 million tonnes per year.
Annual average production is projected at 6,020,000 kg (13,270,000 lbs) of molybdenum, 679,600 kg (1,498,500 lbs) of copper, and 686 tonnes (1,513,000 lbs) of tungsten trioxide (WO3).
The project has a measured and indicated (M&I) mineral resource of 80,756,000 tonnes grading 0.304% MoS2 (0.182% Mo), 0.037% Cu, and 0.036% WO3 at a cut-off grade of 0.22% MoS2.
