Major Chinese steel mills produced 18.55 million tonnes of finished steel in mid-September, with an average daily output of 1,855,000 tonnes, up 3.4% from early September, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, finished steel inventories at major mills were 17.08 million tonnes, an increase of 560,000 tonnes, or 3.4%, from early September.
