LB Group breaks ground on 200ktpy titanium dioxide project in Malaysia

LB Advance Material Asia Sdn. Bhd. held a groundbreaking ceremony on September 24 for phase I of its 200,000tpy titanium dioxide green factory project in the Gurun Industrial Park in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia.
Phase I represents a total investment of over RMB1 billion (USD149.27 million) and will feature a 200,000tpy titanium dioxide post-treatment production line, comprising 100,000tpy of chloride-process capacity and 100,000tpy of sulfate-process capacity. The facility is designed to become a full-category titanium dioxide green manufacturing base covering high-end coatings-grade, general-purpose and plastics-grade products.
The project is scheduled for a 19-month construction period and is expected to generate average annual operating revenue of over RMB3 billion (USD447.80 million) once operational.
